NEW Colt Python 2020 | The Legend Returns

Colt Python 2020

Colt is starting the New Year off with a bang, bringing back the legendary Python line of revolvers. For those unaware, the Python is one of the most sought after revolvers in the country. World renowned for offering incredible triggers, fantastic accuracy, and solid build quality for the better part of the 20th century. This follows on the heels of introductions of the Cobra and King Cobra lines over the last year, reviving the long defunct Snake series of guns.

The Python is a six shot revolver chambered for the powerful .357 Magnum. As with nearly all .357's, the gun retains the ability to fire the weaker (and cheaper) .38 Special round as well. To help bring the Python into the modern era, Colt has made a handful of upgrades to the gun. The new rear sight is fully adjustable for both windage and elevation. Durability is improved thanks to reinforcements made to the frame. The crown is recessed to help prevent accuracy robbing damage in the event of an impact.

Colt is releasing two variants of the Python; a 4 inch barrel, and a 6 inch barrel for you size queens among us. Both versions have an MSRP of $1,499.00.

More on the Python from Colt

The Python is back!

Building on Colt’s Snake Gun legacy, the legendary double-action revolver returns in stainless steel in 4.25” and 6” barrel lengths. The 2020 Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight, and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion make this a gun you’ll want to shoot AND show off. The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates .38 Special cartridges.

  2. I'm wondering if they plan to make the 4 inch in blue ? Yes I know, I want egg in my beer.

  3. A very fair price for an improved version of a legendary handgun. Considered by many to be the best and most coveted production revolver in the world.

  4. A little expensive for a revolver. I will stick to my semi autos. I have 1 too many revolvers already.
